Loyal Readers,As fascinating and witty as my content is, your ranks don't seem to be swelling appropriately. So I've decided to give another widget a try.
It's called BlogRush, and you'll notice it on the left-hand side of the page, below labels and archive (although I think that's a little too far down, so I need to figure out how to change it). Its purpose is to bring like-minded readers to similar blogs.
So I've gone to BlogRush, and told it a little about my blog. It brings up other blog titles of a similar nature in the box on my page—these are blogs you might be interested in reading. Similarly, on other blogs across the world, it will sometimes display my blog title as a link of potential interest.
Honestly, I have no idea if it will generate any traffic or not. It's a brand new service, so the jury's still out. But I thought it was worth a shot! Next up: raffles for a hand-knitted scarf!

I got your invitation . . . I might join, even though I think it's curious that the links to "Privacy Policy," "Terms of Service," and "FAQ" bring up pages that have the BlogRush logo, the topic header, and nothing else.
Or, maybe their server has been slammed and the rest of the page won't load.

When I signed up, it sent me straight to a "letter" instead of my dashboard explaining that they have, indeed, been slammed and they're working out all the kinks.
They also mentioned in particular that they didn't create FAQs until they went live, because they wanted to actually base them on the users' questions, so that's why the FAQs page is blank.
I found out about BlogRush through an article at ProBlogger called "Find New Readers for Your Blog - BlogRush First Impression Review." I thought the review was warily optimistic.
Basically I don't see how it could hurt anything ... although hopefully I won't feel foolish in hindsight if something goes terribly awry.

Also... I'm a lazy blog reader, so tend to use RSS feed readers to remind me of updates to various blogs I read regularly. I don't see your RSS feed anywhere on your blog. I installed it a week ago, then removed it, then added it again... I'm not sure I'm going to keep it in my blog, but want to give it the benefit of the doubt. So far I have thousands of credits, and no click throughs at all.
Hmm, I haven't checked to see how many credits I have. Maybe I don't want to know how pathetic my clickthrough rate has been.
But you've clicked through, and Bren as well. So that's two new readers at least, for me! I'll be interested to see if my stats change much over the next few weeks ....
Hi m.lubber. I actually have 'BlogRush', but I'm having trouble fitting it into the dimensions of my blog site. It cuts off part of the widget and looks sloppy and 'unclean'. Anyone have this problem?

I haven't had any problems with BlogRush display. Nor have I heard of such problems, although I haven't really been checking forums or anything like that. And when I look at your blog, it looks like the widget is displaying correctly.
Maybe try the FAQs at BlogRush? Sorry I can't be more help!
